Inhaling the scent of lavender oil while practising deep breathing exercises can amplify relaxation which makes it an excellent choice for meditation.
Lavender oil also has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which when diluted with a carrier oil can help in the treatment of burns and acne.
Caution : Essential oils are highly concentrated and can cause irritation or sensitization if applied to the skin undiluted. Always mix with a carrier oil such as jojoba oil, coconut oil, almond oil, or grapeseed oil. A general guideline is to use a 1-3% dilution (1-3 drops of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier oil).
